Establishes "Invasive Species Task Force."

S 2724 establishes an "Invasive Species Task Force" in New Jersey, composed of five state agency leaders (Environmental Protection, Agriculture, Health, Forestry, and Rutgers Agricultural Experiment Station) who will serve without pay but may be reimbursed for expenses. The task force must study control methods, develop statewide prevention and restoration plans, identify regulatory barriers, and evaluate the 2009 invasive species management plan within one year. It will create a comprehensive management plan with resource estimates and recommend legislative actions to address invasive species threats to native ecosystems, agriculture, and infrastructure. The task force will dissolve 60 days after submitting its final report to the Governor and Legislature.
