Requires issuance of one free copy of birth certificate to military veteran.

This bill requires New Jersey's State Registrar to provide one free certified copy of a birth certificate to any veteran who was born in New Jersey. Eligibility includes individuals honorably discharged from the U.S. Armed Forces or the American Merchant Marine (WWII veterans eligible for federal benefits), excluding those discharged under dishonorable circumstances. The free copy is limited to one per veteran; all additional copies require standard fees. The law amends existing statutes to explicitly include veterans in the list of groups entitled to free birth certificates for military purposes.
