This bill establishes the New Jersey-Africa Commission, a 21-member body including five state cabinet officials (ex officio) and 16 public members appointed by the Governor, Senate President, and Assembly Speaker. The commission will organize into five committees focused on economic development, education, health, culture, and agriculture to develop recommendations for trade, cultural, and educational exchanges between New Jersey and African nations. It must submit an initial report within one year of its first meeting and annual reports by February 1st to the Governor and Legislature, detailing its findings and proposed partnerships.
