This bill allows New Jersey National Guard members to transfer part of their existing tuition benefit to family members. Spouses can receive 100% of the benefit (up to 16 credits per semester at public colleges), while dependent children receive 50% (up to 8 credits per semester). The member must be eligible for the original benefit, and the recipient must apply for other state and federal grants first. Only one family member can receive the transferred benefit, and the member cannot transfer the benefit to multiple recipients.
