Requires Commissioner of Education to permit certain school districts losing State school aid or subject to State aid growth limit to submit budgets after enactment of FY2026 appropriations act.

This bill allows specific New Jersey school districts facing state aid cuts or a 6% growth limit (as noted in the February 2025 state aid notice) to submit their 2025-2026 budgets after the state’s FY2026 budget is enacted. It applies only to districts where the aid reduction or eliminated growth exceeds their unused tax authority ("banked cap"). The Commissioner of Education must permit this delayed submission and adjust the budget calendar to a compressed timeline. The change is limited to the 2025-2026 school year.
