Authorizes creation of Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation license plates.
This bill authorizes New Jersey to create special Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation license plates for motor vehicles. Vehicle owners who choose these plates would pay a $50 application fee and a $10 annual fee on top of standard registration costs, with all funds deposited into a dedicated scholarship fund. The fund would provide annual support to the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation to award educational scholarships to children of Marines, including active duty, retired, or honorably discharged service members. The license plate design would be selected by the Motor Vehicle Commission in consultation with the Foundation.
