A 1995 New Jersey General Assembly · 2024-2025 Regular Session

Establishes 10 year Menstrual Leave and Remote Work Pilot Program.

This bill establishes a 10-year Menstrual Leave and Remote Work Pilot Program in New Jersey that would allow employers to voluntarily provide two fully paid workdays per month of medical leave or two days of remote work options to employees suffering from qualifying menstrual disorders, such as endometriosis, uterine fibroids, polycystic ovary syndrome, and dysmenorrhea. Employees would need physician documentation confirming their condition to qualify for these accommodations. Participating employers would receive tax credits: 100% of wages paid for medical leave days and 25% of wages paid for remote work days. The program would expire on January 1, 2033, and would protect employees from discrimination for using these accommodations.
