The property tax exemption for disabled veterans no longer covers officers who are honorably separated from military service; only veterans as defined by RSA 21:50 qualify.

The home must now have been specially adapted through an approved VA Special Adapted Housing (SAH) or Special Home Adaptation (SHA) grant, rather than the broader 'assistance of the Veterans Administration.' The resale provision is also narrowed to only homes that were SAH or SHA homes.

Several statutes were removed from the list in section 6 that would have their 'honorable discharge' language replaced with the new RSA 21:50 terminology (specifically RSA 115-B:1 II(a) and II(c), 165:5, 175:1 XXII, and 176:10).

A new Section 8 (Applicability) was added stating that the terminology changes made under Sections 6 and 7 automatically apply to municipal rules already in effect on the bill's effective date, without requiring municipalities to amend or readopt those rules.

The entire lifetime combination hunting and fishing license provision (proposed RSA 214:2-a) was removed. This would have required the fish and game department to issue a lifetime license to resident veterans, with fees adjusted based on service-connected disability rating.

The bill title was changed from 'modifying the definition of veteran and relative to lifetime hunting and fishing license fees for disabled veterans' to simply 'modifying the definition of veteran,' reflecting the removal of the license provision.

A new effective date clause was added stating the act takes effect 60 days after its passage.

Across RSA 119:6, 283:4, 72:36-a, and 97:1, the phrase 'discharged under honorable conditions pursuant to RSA 21:50' was replaced with 'a veteran as defined by RSA 21:50' or 'meet the definition of veteran in RSA 21:50,' simplifying the language while keeping the same underlying standard.

In RSA 110-D:3 (Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children), the full definition of 'Veteran' was replaced with a cross-reference stating it 'shall have the same meaning as in RSA 21:50,' avoiding restating the definition.

A new section II was added to RSA 214:2-a regarding fees for lifetime hunting and fishing licenses, though the full text is cut off in the diff.
