Added new Legislative Counsel's Digest language explaining that Section 10 will designate Division facilities providing mental health services to children.

Modified Section 2.6 to clarify that the task force must submit recommendations to the Joint Interim Standing Committee on Health and Human Services, and removed the requirement that task force members serve without compensation.

Added new Legislative Counsel's Digest language explaining that Sections 11 and 12 will revise the definition of 'officer' to include state employees whose job responsibilities involve interacting with the public in child welfare or protective services roles.

Removed Section 2.4, which previously defined 'Agency which provides child welfare services' by reference to another statute, as this definition was consolidated elsewhere.

Updated reprint headers and dates from May 20, 2025 (Second Reprint) to May 23, 2025 (Third Reprint), and adjusted page numbering and formatting.

Removed the requirement for the Administrator to accept and provide services to children determined incompetent by a juvenile court.

Added a requirement for the Division to establish a task force to develop recommendations for creating a program that provides housing and services to children discharged from treatment facilities whose parents or guardians cannot safely accept them back home due to health or safety risks.

Modified the legislative digest to reflect the new task force requirement and removed references to the deleted incompetent child provision.

Removed requirements for facilities to admit children with emotional disturbances unless they lack resources, and removed requirements for facilities unable to provide treatment to identify alternative facilities.

Added new requirement for facilities to establish discharge procedures that require court approval if parents/guardians disagree, prohibit discharge to temporary facilities, and require child welfare agency approval before receiving discharged children.

Added new duties for the Administrator to accept and provide services to children subject to orders under chapters 62E, 432B, or 62D.180/62D.185 of NRS.

Added requirement that the Administrator must place a child in a treatment facility within 30 days if the order requires commitment.
