AJR 3 Nevada Assembly · 2025 Regular Session

Revises provisions relating to the Legislature. (BDR C-21)

This bill proposes constitutional changes to increase transparency in Nevada's Legislature. It requires legislators to publicly disclose any financial relationships they or their immediate family have with organizations receiving funding in bills they sponsor, and mandates the Legislature to publish regular conflict of interest disclosures for each member. The Legislature would also be subject to the same public records access and open meeting laws that apply to other state agencies, with exceptions for personnel files, legislative audits, and security records. These changes aim to align legislative operations with broader government transparency standards.
