What changed between versions
Allows the Board to issue temporary certificates to chiropractic assistants who are already licensed in good standing in the District of Columbia or another U.S. state/territory.
Removes the requirement that temporary certificates be valid for 15 business days or less and limits the Board to issuing no more than two such certificates per person per year.
Changes the Board membership from seven members to six, removing the requirement for a member representing indigent patients and increasing the number of physician appointees from four to five.
Gives the Board discretion to hold examinations at intervals other than semiannually and to determine the specific subjects tested, rather than following fixed statutory requirements.
Eliminates the requirement that chiropractic assistant training must include at least 12 months of study or equivalent.
Removes specific minimum passing scores for chiropractic licensing examinations and removes provisions governing applicants who fail the exam.
Removes the Board's authority to charge fees for providing lists of licensed practitioners, copies of statutes, or lists of approved continuing education courses.
