Revise insurance laws relating to automobile body repair

It prohibits insurance companies from ignoring repair instructions or safety inspections recommended by vehicle manufacturers and requires insurers to provide a list of qualified repair shops upon request if they have direct repair programs. The legislation also clarifies that while insurers can set quality standards for their preferred repair partners, policyholders retain the right to choose their own repair shop at the insurer's expense, provided the work is reasonable and necessary. Additionally, the bill makes it illegal for repair shops to charge insured customers more than uninsured customers for the same services.
