Interim study on criminal procedure

This bill (LC 1588) established an interim study committee to examine criminal procedure in the state. It did not create new laws or directly affect any specific group; instead, it proposed a formal review process. The bill was drafted in late 2024 but was placed on hold and ultimately did not advance to become law ("died in process" in May 2025). No concrete policy changes were enacted through this measure.
