Require excusal of prospective jurors aged 75 and older

This bill requires courts and jury commissioners in Montana to automatically excuse prospective jurors who are 75 years of age or older from jury service upon request. The change amends existing Montana Code Annotated provisions to add a new category for excusal based solely on age, without requiring proof of hardship or medical incapacity. Jurors aged 75 and older who wish to avoid jury duty must simply ask for excusal, while younger jurors must continue to meet current criteria involving undue hardship or chronic incapacitation to be excused.
