Provide for the Montana Local Meat Act

This bill creates the Montana Local Meat Act to allow ranches, farms, and home-based processors to sell meat directly to consumers without state licensing, inspection, or labeling requirements. It permits these transactions only within Montana between the processor and an informed end consumer who agrees not to resell the meat. Processors must provide a clear written warning stating the meat has not been inspected or regulated by official agencies and must disclose their own health and processing standards. The law also prohibits processors from claiming state agency approval or endorsement of their products.
