Modifies provisions relating to the selling of raw milk or cream

HB 849 allows Missouri dairy farms to sell raw milk and cream meeting "Grade A retail" standards (with strict sanitation and bacteriological requirements) to grocery stores, restaurants, and for direct consumer delivery. It requires dairy farms producing this raw milk to have USDA-accredited tuberculosis- and brucellosis-free herds, or undergo annual testing for these diseases until accreditation. Distributors must also have their products inspected annually by the state milk board. The bill does not change the requirement that pasteurized milk remains the standard for general retail sales.
