HB 372 Missouri House · 2025 Regular Session

Modifies setback distances for certain areas in regards to solid waste disposal

This bill establishes minimum distance requirements for solid waste disposal facilities from certain areas. Facilities must be at least 3 miles from incorporated cities, schools, churches, subdivisions, or public parks; 0.75 miles from residential homes occupied year-round; and 200 feet from property lines. It applies to counties adopting waste management rules and directly affects communities near proposed disposal sites. The bill clarifies these setback rules are not considered zoning regulations under existing law.
