SB 789 Missouri Senate · 2024 Regular Session

Modifies provisions relating to the powers of a hospital district board of trustees

This bill requires hospital district boards in Missouri to put any partnership with out-of-state health care systems operated by universities directly to a vote of the district's residents. Under the new rule, such an agreement cannot be approved unless a two-thirds majority of the voters cast ballots in favor of it. The measure applies specifically to collaborations intended to provide health care services to people living within the state.
