Judicial System Operation Fund; repeal.

The Judicial System Operation Fund is repealed and replaced with the State General Fund as the primary source for judicial salaries and operations.

County court judge salaries are substantially increased based on county population size, with specific salary ranges established for counties with populations ranging from less than 27,000 to over 70,000.

Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, and circuit/chancery judge salaries are increased effective January 1, 2023, with specific dollar amounts established for each position.

Clerk fees for chancery and circuit courts are updated with new fee schedules for filing documents, recording deeds, and other court services.

County court judges in counties with 70,000+ population must work full-time and cannot practice law, while judges in smaller counties may continue practicing law.

The act takes effect July 1, 2026, with salary increases for state judges beginning January 1, 2023.
