Firearms; prohibit firing in certain limited locations.

SB 2811 would ban discharging firearms on public roads, within 500 feet of schools or churches, or near homes without permission. It allows exceptions for homeowners shooting on their property with all residents' consent (and no nearby homes), and for gun shops/ranges during authorized test firing or operation. Violating the law would be a misdemeanor punishable by up to $500 fines or 100 days in jail. The bill died in committee in February 2026 and never became law.
