Added Section 4 appropriating $6,357,359.00 from the State General Fund for Mississippi State Veterans Homes operating expenses and salaries.

Added Section 5 appropriating $48,527,060.00 from special source funds for Mississippi State Veterans Homes expenses and salaries.

Added Section 8 providing $250,000 for care to indigent/low-income Mississippi veterans and surviving spouses of veterans who were residents of state veterans homes at the time of death.

Increased authorized headcount from 69 total positions (40 permanent, 25 time-limited) to 582 total positions (265 permanent, 317 time-limited).

Added Section 7 granting the Executive Director authority to transfer up to 25% of authorized budgets between the State Veterans Affairs Board and Mississippi State Veterans Homes.

Added Section 11 authorizing escalation of funds from fund number 3373200000 up to $5,000,000 for operating state veterans homes in accordance with federal fund escalation.

Added Section 10 requiring the State Veterans Affairs Board to maintain accounting and personnel records in the same format as Fiscal Year 2025 and submit Fiscal Year 2027 budget requests to the Joint Legislative Budget Committee.
