This bill extends until July 1, 2029, a 2% tax on hotel and motel room rentals in Louisville, Mississippi. The tax, which must be approved by voters through a local election, funds tourism promotion and parks projects. It applies to hotels/motels with six or more rooms and requires separate accounting for the revenue. The extension delays the original 2025 expiration date by four years.
