Health facilities: homes for the aged; certain licensing fees; modify. Amends sec. 21311a of 1978 PA 368 (MCL 333.21311a) & adds sec. 21311b.

This bill modifies licensing requirements for homes for the aged in Michigan. It creates new exemption pathways allowing facilities to avoid full licensing if they meet specific conditions, such as having unrelated room and care providers or offering residents choice in care providers. Facilities must submit an attestation with a $2,000 fee for review, and the fee may increase annually based on state employee pay raises. Exemptions under certain conditions expire after 2019, but others remain valid indefinitely.
