Human services: medical services; exemption of certain prescription drugs from the medical assistance prior authorization process; provide for. Amends sec. 109h of 1939 PA 280 (MCL 400.109h).

Added explicit exemption for opioid withdrawal symptom management or opioid use disorder, including specific mention of buprenorphine/naloxone tablets over 32 milligrams.

Added requirement that the department shall not require a dosage maximum for prescription drugs used to treat opioid withdrawal symptom management or opioid use disorder.

Reorganized the structure of the bill text, moving the definition of 'prior authorization' from the middle of the document to the end under subsection (4)(e), and renumbered subsections accordingly.

Changed the introductory language to specify 'single source brand name, generic equivalent of a multiple source brand name, or other prescription drugs' for clarity.
