Health occupations: dentists; dentist and dental hygienist compact; enact. Amends sec. 16601 of 1978 PA 368 (MCL 333.16601) & adds secs. 16187b & 16611a.

Added a comprehensive list of new legal definitions including 'Active Military Member,' 'Adverse Action,' 'Compact Privilege,' 'Data System,' and 'Significant Investigative Information' to standardize terminology across all participating states.

Established strict participation requirements for Michigan, including the mandatory acceptance of national board examinations, accredited dental education programs, and the implementation of criminal background checks for all applicants.

Created a new joint government agency called the 'Commission' to oversee the compact, manage a shared database of licensees, and enforce rules, including the power to terminate a state's participation if it fails to comply with obligations.

Mandated that all participating states share 'Significant Investigative Information' regarding licensees, allowing one state to take disciplinary action based on investigations conducted by another state.

Introduced a streamlined pathway for 'Active Military Members' and their spouses to obtain a Compact Privilege without paying the standard fees charged to other applicants.

Added new statutory sections (16187b and 16611a) to the Public Health Code to formally incorporate the compact text and define the legal status of individuals holding a Compact Privilege.
