This bill requires health plans and nonprofit dental corporations in Michigan to offer payment methods that give dentists 100% of their covered fees without charging them any access fees. The rule applies to policies issued, delivered, or renewed in the state after the law takes effect, though it does not cover fees charged by the dentist's own bank. Dentists who choose not to use these new payment options can keep their current arrangements until they decide to switch back or sign a new contract.
