An Act requiring identification of food allergens in eating establishments

This bill requires restaurants and other food-serving establishments to clearly identify common food allergens in English on menus or visible allergen lists. It specifically mandates listing ingredients containing milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, or soybeans, either in ingredient lists or with a "contains" statement next to menu items. The allergen information must be readily available to customers through menus, separate lists, or posted signs. The Department of Public Health may adjust these requirements as needed.
