An Act authorizing the town of Natick to continue the employment of police officer John Haswell

This bill allows Police Officer John Haswell of Natick to continue working until he turns 68, retires, or is removed by the Select Board, whichever happens first. Under the law, he would normally have to stop working at 65 and receive a reduced pension, but this act extends his service and ensures he gets the full pension amount he would have received at 65. To ensure he can still do his job, the Select Board can require annual medical exams at the town's expense to check his physical and mental fitness.
