An Act relative to the town of Monson treasurer-collector position

This bill creates a single combined treasurer-collector position for the Town of Monson, merging the existing separate roles into one job. The select board will be responsible for appointing and removing the official, while also having the authority to set employment terms such as salary, benefits, and performance standards. Upon taking effect, the separate offices of treasurer and collector will be abolished, and the current treasurer will automatically become the first person to hold the new combined role until their term ends. All existing contracts, liabilities, and office records will transfer to the new position without interruption.
