Cecil County - Orphans' Court Judges - Compensation

Updated salary amounts from fiscal year 2015 through 2018, with the final amount set at $8,750 for fiscal year 2018 and each subsequent year, subject to a minimum of $11,000 as determined by the County Council.

Added additional annual compensation of at least $1,500 for the Chief Judge beginning in fiscal year 2027.

Added a travel expense allowance of at least $1,500 annually for each judge, to be paid quarterly by the county.

Established an effective date of July 1, 2026, for all provisions in the act.

Added language clarifying that the act does not apply to judges serving terms beginning before the effective date, except for those appointed or elected after the effective date to fill unexpired terms.

Added committee report status showing favorable action and house adoption, along with revised bill formatting and chapter designation.
