New requirements for Correctional Training Commission to adopt regulations for training, issuance, and use of body-worn cameras by correctional officers by January 1, 2026.

Each correctional unit must develop and maintain a written policy for body-worn camera use, subject to collective bargaining with employee organizations.

Local correctional facilities may opt out of body-worn camera requirements but must still develop policies if they choose to adopt them.
