DISTRICTS/CRIME PREVENT: Requests the House Committee on Municipal, Parochial and Cultural Affairs, or a subcommittee thereof, to study the effectiveness of neighborhood crime prevention and security districts in reducing crime

This resolution directs the Louisiana House Committee on Municipal, Parochial and Cultural Affairs to conduct a study on neighborhood crime prevention and security districts. The study will examine whether these districts, which allow local residents and officials to fund and manage enhanced security measures like patrols and cameras, have successfully reduced crime. Additionally, the review will assess how efficiently the fees collected from these districts are being used. The committee is required to submit its findings to the House by March 1, 2027.
