MTR VEHICLE/LICEN PLATES: Modifies the current and retired legislators special prestige license plates fee distribution

This bill modifies Louisiana's special prestige license plate program for current and retired legislators by establishing a $25 one-time fee and a $25 annual royalty fee for each plate. The annual fees collected from these plates will be directed to the Division of Administration to fund restoration efforts at the Pentagon Barracks, while a $3.50 handling fee per plate will cover administrative costs. The legislation also authorizes the Secretary of State to create rules governing plate design, transfer, and disposition upon the recipient's death. These changes apply to both active and retired legislators who wish to obtain or renew their special license plates.
