PORTS/HARBORS/TERMINALS: Provides for the Louisiana Ports and Waterways Investment Commission (EN NO IMPACT See Note)

The commission's reporting line was changed from the Governor to the Office of Multimodal Commerce.

The commission's domicile was updated to reflect its new location within the Office of Multimodal Commerce.

The requirement for the commission to receive funding appropriations was updated to require agreement from the Office of Multimodal Commerce instead of the Governor.

A new statutory provision was added to officially transfer the commission to the Office of Multimodal Commerce.

The Louisiana Ports and Waterways Investment Commission is now placed within the Office of Multimodal Commerce instead of the Governor's office.

The commission's primary responsibility is now to the Commissioner of Multimodal Commerce, replacing the previous responsibility to the Governor.

The commission must now advise the Commissioner of Multimodal Commerce on port administration problems, whereas it previously advised the Governor.

The strategic plan and investment program will receive appropriations upon agreement between the Commissioner of Multimodal Commerce and the legislature, replacing the previous agreement between the Governor and the legislature.
