AN ACT relating to local government records.
Summary
Create a new section of KRS Chapter 65 to define terms; allow local governments to submit to the state or the Legislative Research Commission an affidavit in lieu of a record that has been lost, damaged, or destroyed that was required to be submitted; establish requirements for the affidavit, and allow a government entity to require the production of the information contained in the record if necessary for governmental operations.
