Created a new 18-member Conference Realignment Committee with 9 superintendents and 9 activities directors to approve or reject conference realignment requests.

Schools cannot spend state money on athletic organization dues or membership fees unless the organization develops and implements committee-approved policies for conference realignment.

The committee must review extracurricular interscholastic athletics conference changes at least once every two years.

Schools that withdraw from a conference without approval cannot compete in the same activity or tournaments for two years.

Schools must offer at least one extracurricular interscholastic athletics activity for boys and one for girls in fall, winter, and spring to be eligible for conference membership.

Schools can appeal committee orders to the director of the department of education.

New provisions take effect on or after July 1, 2025.
