VEH CD-CYSTIC FIBROSIS PLATES
Summary
Amends the State Finance Act. Creates the Cystic Fibrosis Fund as a special fund in the State treasury. Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code to provide for the issuance of Cystic Fibrosis plates. Provides that the applicant shall pay an additional fee of $25 for original issuance of the plates, of which $10 shall be deposited into the Cystic Fibrosis Fund and $15 shall be deposited into the Secretary of State Special License Plate Fund. Provides that an additional fee of $25 shall be charged for each renewal, of which $23 shall be deposited into the Cystic Fibrosis Fund and $2 shall be deposited into the Secretary of State Special License Plate Fund. Provides that money in the Cystic Fibrosis Fund shall be paid as grants divided evenly between the Chicago and Peoria offices of the Greater Illinois Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for the purpose of cystic fibrosis research, education, awareness, and treatment.
