MILITARY PLATES-SECOND SET

Added a new subsection allowing veterans with 50% or more service-connected disability who do not qualify for standard disability plates to receive up to two sets of special registration plates without the international symbol of access.

Modified Section 3-609.4 to limit the second-set-plate benefit to only four specific military plate categories (3-609, 3-609.1, 3-609.3, 3-620, and 3-623), removing eligibility for many other previously listed military plate types.

Added a provision stating that eligible persons receiving a second set of plates under the new disability section must pay a $24 fee if they are also approved for benefits under the Senior Citizens and Persons with Disabilities Property Tax Relief Act.

Added a requirement that renewal of registration must include documentation of eligibility unless the applicant has a permanent qualifying disability.

Changed the title of Section 3-609.4 from 'Second set of certain military plates' to 'Second set of no-fee military plates' to better reflect the fee waiver provision.
