VEH CD-VARIOUS
What changed between versions
All provisions related to the Illinois Vehicle Code, including rules for expanded-use antique vehicles, vehicle title confidentiality, and short-term permits for rebuilt vehicles, were removed.
New rules were added requiring Regional Transit Boards to notify the Executive Ethics Commission within 10 days when appointing an Inspector General, with a 60-day automatic approval rule if no action is taken.
The bill now clarifies that complaints against Regional Transit Boards must be immediately referred to the Executive Inspector General, who has exclusive jurisdiction to investigate violations of the Ethics Act.
New requirements mandate that Regional Transit Boards and appointed Inspector Generals submit monthly activity reports to the Executive Inspector General detailing complaints, investigations, and results.
