MINOR
The bill was amended to clarify exactly which Medicaid waiver programs qualify for a live-in caregiver exemption from electronic visit verification. It replaced a broad list of general waiver sections with specific references to the 'Adults with Developmental Disabilities' and 'Support Waiver for Children and Young Adults with Developmental Disabilities.' Additionally, the definition of a 'live-in caregiver' was changed from a specific list of federal agencies (like the IRS) to a single reference to the state Department of Human Services, giving the state more flexibility in setting rules.
Scope change
The scope of the exemption was narrowed from potentially covering various unspecified waiver programs to explicitly covering only two specific developmental disabilities waivers.
ELIGIBILITY
Replaced a broad list of Social Security Act sections with specific references to the Adults with Developmental Disabilities waiver and the Support Waiver for Children and Young Adults with Developmental Disabilities.
DEFINITION
Changed the definition of 'live-in caregiver' from requiring compliance with specific federal agencies (U.S. Department of Labor, IRS) to simply being defined by the state Department of Human Services.
REQUIREMENT
Updated the rulemaking authority text to specifically require verification rules for 'live-in caregivers' rather than just 'caregivers'.
