DCFS RATE-PSYCHIATRIC STAYS
Summary
Provides that if and only if Senate Bill 1510 of the 101st General Assembly becomes law, then the Medical Assistance Article of the Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by making a provision that concerns the DCFS per diem rates for inpatient psychiatric stays operative through July 1, 2023 (rather than through June 30, 2021). Effective immediately or on the date Senate Bill 1510 of the 101st General Assembly takes effect, whichever is later. House Committee Amendment No. 1 Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Reinserts the provisions of the introduced bill with the following change. Adds hospitals with a pediatric or adolescent inpatient psychiatric unit to the type of hospitals that the Department of Children and Family Services is required to pay the DCFS per diem rate for inpatient psychiatric stays.
