GOMB-FUND BALANCES
Summary
Amends the Governor's Office of Management and Budget Act. Provides that the annual economic and fiscal policy report must include a projection of fund balances for each fund held in the State treasury, outlining for each fund revenues, expenditures, and the estimated end of year fund balance for the current fiscal year, the upcoming fiscal year, and the 4 previous years. Effective immediately. Senate Committee Amendment No. 1 Deletes reference to: 20 ILCS 3005/7.3 Adds reference to: 15 ILCS 20/50-5 Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the State Budget Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that, together with the State budget, the Governor shall file a written report with the Secretary of the Senate and the Clerk of the House of Representatives containing the following: the actual or projected fund balances, revenues, and expenditures for all appropriated funds for the previous fiscal year, the current fiscal year, and the upcoming fiscal year. Effective immediately. Senate Floor Amendment No. 2 Makes changes to the bill as amended by Senate Amendment No. 1 to provide that the report shall be submitted by the Governor's Office of Management and Budget (in the amendment, the Governor) no later than the third Wednesday of February of each year (in the amendment, the report shall be filed with the budget). Senate Floor Amendment No. 3 Makes changes to the bill as amended by Senate Amendment No. 2 to provide that the report does not need to be written.
