MODERATE
The bill was revised to update the sponsor and version number, adjust the effective date to July 1, 2050, and remove the repeal of existing ticket broker regulations. This change shifts the focus from eliminating ticket brokers to strictly enforcing price caps on scalping while keeping current broker rules intact.
Scope change
The bill's scope remains focused on preventing ticket scalping, but the applicability of ticket broker regulations was preserved by removing the section that previously repealed them.
TIMELINE
The effective date of the Act was changed from July 1, 2026, to July 1, 2050.
REQUIREMENT
The repeal of Section 481B-15, which governed ticket broker fees and refunds, was removed, meaning those regulations will remain in effect.
TECHNICAL
The bill sponsor was updated from Noah Holck to Amy Vickers, and the bill version was updated from SD1 to SD2.
DESCRIPTION
The bill description was updated to reflect the new effective date and remove the mention of repealing ticket broker provisions.
