MINOR
This bill amends the exemption for homeowner-developers from filing annual reports and paying fees. It now requires homeowners to have lived in one of their units as a principal residence for at least ten years to qualify for the exemption, whereas the previous law only required residency without a time limit. The bill also clarifies that if these conditions change, the exemption ends and reporting resumes.
Scope change
The scope of the exemption was narrowed to apply only to developers who have maintained a ten-year principal residence in one of the units.
ELIGIBILITY

Added a requirement that the developer must have resided as a principal residence in one unit for at least ten years to qualify for the exemption.

REQUIREMENT

Added a condition that if the ten-year residency or other eligibility criteria change, the developer must resume filing annual reports and paying fees.
