HB2369 HB2369_HD1 · 3 edits
MINOR
The bill was renumbered from HB2369 to HB2369 HD1 and updated with new sponsor information. Substantively, the effective date was changed from July 1, 2026 to July 1, 3000, which appears to be a placeholder or error that would prevent the funding mechanism from ever taking effect. The text was also cleaned up to consistently refer to 'the judiciary's' statutory mandate instead of 'its' mandate, and the legislative title was capitalized.
Scope change
The scope of applicability remains the same regarding community-based organizations and judiciary contracts, but the timeline for implementation is effectively nullified by the future date.
TIMELINE

The effective date was changed from July 1, 2026 to July 1, 3000, which likely indicates a drafting error that prevents the bill from becoming active.

TECHNICAL

The bill number was updated from HB2369 to HB2369 HD1, and the sponsor name was changed from Raymond Nichols to Chelsea Dugan.

Minor grammatical adjustments were made to consistently use 'the judiciary's' instead of 'its' when referring to the statutory mandate.
