What changed between versions
Certified copy fees are now split differently: $1 each goes to the spouse and child abuse special fund, $1 each goes to the spouse and child abuse special account, $1 each goes to the domestic violence and sexual assault special fund, and the remainder goes to the Vital Statistics Improvement Special Fund instead of the general fund.
A new domestic violence and sexual assault special fund is established to receive $1 for each certified copy issued.
The Birth Defects Special Fund is repealed, and any unencumbered balance in that fund is transferred to the Vital Statistics Improvement Special Fund.
Marriage license fees are redistributed: $32 to the general fund, $4.50 to the spouse and child abuse special fund, $4.50 to the spouse and child abuse special account, and $10 to the Vital Statistics Improvement Special Fund.
An appropriation is made from the Vital Statistics Improvement Special Fund for fiscal year 2025-2026 to support vital statistics program operations.
The Act takes effect on July 1, 2025.
