MINOR
This bill amends Hawaii's collective bargaining law to expand who can file grievances against suspension or discharge. Previously, certain exempt employees could not grieve such actions unless their contract explicitly allowed it. The change removes this restriction for bargaining unit members and their counterparts, allowing them to grieve suspensions or discharges regardless of their employment status.
Scope change
Expanded eligibility for grievance rights to include all bargaining unit members and their excluded counterparts, removing the previous limitation that only applied to employees not in exempt positions.
ELIGIBILITY
Changed grievance eligibility from only employees not in exempt positions to include all bargaining unit members and their excluded counterparts.
