A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Chapter 23 of Title 47 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to the Georgia Judicial Retirement System, so as to provide for the payment of monthly retirement benefits for creditable service as a district attorney at the age of 65 years; to provide for calculation of benefits for individuals who first become members after the effective date of this Act; to provide for calculation of survivors benefits; to provide for conforming changes; to provide for an effective date; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

A RESOLUTION proposing an amendment to the Constitution so as to provide that all probate judges shall be elected in nonpartisan elections; to provide for related matters; to provide for submission of this amendment for ratification or rejection; and for other purposes.

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Chapter 6 of Title 16 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to sexual offenses, so as to modify the penalty for offenders previously convicted of the offense of trafficking of persons for labor or sexual servitude; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Code Section 48-8-3 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to exemptions from sales and use taxes, so as to extend the sunset date applicable to the exemption for sales of tickets, fees, and charges of admission to certain museums and fine arts performances or exhibitions at nonprofit facilities; to provide for related matters; to provide for an effective date and applicability; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

A BILL to be entitled an Act to provide a homestead exemption from City of Bremen independent school district ad valorem taxes for educational purposes in the amount of $90,000.00 of the assessed value of the homestead for residents of that school district who are 65 years of age or older and who have been residents and property taxpayers of the school district for at least five consecutive years; to repeal the exemption granted in an Act approved May 13, 2008 (Ga. L. 2008, p. 4065); to provide for compliance with constitutional requirements; to provide for a referendum, effective dates, automatic repeal, mandatory execution of election, and judicial remedies regarding failure to comply; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Article 3 of Chapter 4 of Title 17 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to warrants for arrest, so as to provide for personal service of process for notice of a warrant application hearing; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Chapter 7 of Title 51 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to false arrest, false imprisonment, malicious prosecution, and abusive litigation, so as to create a cause of action for abusive litigation based on alleged website access violations under federal and state law; to provide factors for evaluating a claim of abusive website access litigation; to provide for a rebuttable presumption when corrective action is taken after receiving notice of an alleged website access violation; to provide for damages; to authorize the Attorney General to intervene and seek certain relief and to make investigative demands for evidence in certain circumstances; to provide for definitions; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Article 5 of Chapter 11 of Title 9 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to depositions and discovery, so as to require depositions in this state to be taken before certified court reporters; to repeal requirements that depositions in this state shall be recorded by stenographic means; to provide an effective date; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Article 2 of Chapter 5 of Title 16 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to assault and battery, so as to provide for protections for inspectors of code enforcement; to provide for definitions; to provide for enhanced penalties for simple assault, aggravated assault, simple battery, battery, and aggravated battery committed upon inspectors of code enforcement in certain circumstances; to provide for related matters; to provide for an effective date and applicability; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Chapter 3 of Title 35 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, so as to provide for the restriction and seal of First Offender Act sentences until such status is revoked; to amend Article 3 of Chapter 8 of Title 42 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to first offenders relative to probation, so as to provide for the restriction and seal of first offender sentences at the time of sentencing; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
