National Statuary Hall Collection Replacement Committee; create

This Georgia state resolution establishes a temporary committee to replace the state's existing statue of Alexander Hamilton Stephens in the National Statuary Hall Collection with a new statue of former President Jimmy Carter. The eight-member committee, appointed by state officials, will select a sculptor, design the new statue, and secure private funding to cover all costs including creation, transportation, and a dedication ceremony. Once the new statue is approved by federal authorities, the old Stephens statue will be moved to a location designated by the committee within Georgia.
