Summary
A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Article 1 of Chapter 7 of Title 31 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to regulation of hospitals and related institutions, so as to require certain long-term care facilities to acquire and maintain sufficient emergency and standby power systems to ensure the provision of certain care and services for residents at such facilities; to provide for definitions; to provide for the Department of Community Health and the office of Safety Fire Commissioner to coordinate inspection and enforcement; to provide for a grant program; to provide priority to rural counties; to provide for related matters; to provide for an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
